A study space on campus focused on providing a comfortable environment for neurodivergent students. This goal involves separating the Nest into two sections; the main room where you can hold events, study with others or work on projects, and the cubicles which are each focused on catering to a specific sensory need and meant for 1-2 people. While focused on neurodivergent students, the space is open to everyone, with priority to ACU club members and members of the space. This space is to be used for academic reasons only, as it is a study space at its core. You can reserve time for specific sensory levels in the main room, and will be able to control the sensory level in the space during your reserved time.
Why choose The Nest?
The Nest is a great study space if you struggle with the often uncertain noise levels in the library as you can reserve quiet study time. It also houses many places to work that allow you to cater your sensory needs while studying. It's a comfortable space to make long study sessions easier. The Nest also allows for co-working sessions which help to motivate students who struggle with executive functioning.
